I can always tell when our soon-to-be-teenager is going through a growth spurt. His constant hunger and seemingly hollow leg are sure signs. Some days, it seems like I’ve barely cleared the dishes from the table before he’s roaming the fridge for something to stave off the pangs.
One way to keep my growing boy full is to feed him homemade biscuits. I love this simple recipe because I always have these five ingredients on hand and the recipe is so easy my son could actually make it himself. Hmmm. . .now there’s an idea!
Serve these biscuits in the morning with eggs and bacon. Or on the go with butter and jelly. The biscuits also make a great afternoon snack-sized sandwich with fixings of your choice – shaved ham and a slice of Havarti cheese is a favorite.
Easy 5 Ingredient Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup canola oil
2/3 cup milk
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Stir together ingredients until well combined. Lightly flour a cutting board or countertop. Roll out the dough on floured surface to desired thickness. Cut with the rim of a glass jar or biscuit cutter. Place dough rounds on a Silpat lined or greased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
Tip: Do y’all know about Silpat Baking Sheets? These nonstick mats provide even heat transfer and prevent your food from sticking. I love them for baking!
Love,

These look great! I love easy! Thank you.
I have a biscuit recipe that you can add some more milk to and drop them on the pan instead of cutting them! Even easier since I stink at rolling things out!
